Identifying Operating System Architecture

Click any of the following listed operating systems that corresponds to the operating system type installed on your system i.e. 32-bit or 64-bit operating system. It might be possible that certain operating systems are available only in 32-bit or 64-bit architectures, and if such is the case, it will be specified.

On Windows 10, Windows 8.1 and Windows 8
  • Got to Control Panel -> System and Security -> System.
  • Look at the System type under system.
  • If the System type is 32-bit Operating System, then your Operating System is 32-bit and you need to download 32-bit Quick Heal product setup file. If the System type is 64-bit Operating System, then your Operating System is 64-bit and you need to download 64-bit Quick Heal product setup file.
On Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2008 R2

Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2008 R2 Operating Systems are available in 64-bit only.

On Windows 7, Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008
  • Go to Control Panel -> System and Maintenance -> System.
  • Look at the System type under system.
  • If the System type is 32-bit Operating System then your Operating System is 32-bit and you need to download 32-bit Quick Heal product setup file. If the System type is 64-bit Operating System then your Operating System is 64-bit and you need to download 64-bit Quick Heal product setup file.
On Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server Operating Systems
  • Got to Start -> Control Panel. The Control Panel window opens.
  • Double-click System icon. The System Properties window opens.
  • In the General tab under System, if x64 is mentioned before Edition, then your operating system is a 64-bit operating system else it is a 32-bit operating system.
On Windows 2000 and earlier Operating systems

Microsoft Windows 2000 and its flavors, and operating systems released prior to Windows 2000 are only available in 32-bit architecture.
